A thermoplastics molding operator for the Somerset Wisconsin-based SMC Ltd., Gerald Fahl is tasked with creating medical equipment parts on various thermoplastics molding presses according to detailed instructions. With over two years of experience in this position, Gerald Fahl also leads safety walks of the plant’s thermoplastics and secondary operations areas once a week and mentors and trains new employees on how to work the presses.

Prior to SMC, Fahl was the chief experience officer (CXO) at WESTconsin Credit Union. He worked for the company for nearly 30 years and was responsible for implementing and managing public relations and promotions to support strategic plans as the CXO. Other duties included coaching and leading team members in marketing, sales, and member experience. Fahl joined WESTconsin as an assistant marketing director, during which time he wrote newsletter and media-release communications and maintained relationships with media outlets, among other functions. Earlier in his career, he served as a display advertising manager and representative for the Dunn County News.

In addition to his role as a thermoplastics molding operator, Gerald Fahl provides voice acting services. For more than 30 years, he provided radio play-by-play for high school and college basketball and football games. He is also a public address announcer for football and basketball games at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and has performed voice-overs for several commercials.
